The Weight of a Name
“A name shares its destiny with the one who bears it (名體不離).”
As a child, Seo Mu-yeong had his name stolen by Choi Sijin, and along with it, his very destiny was plundered. Stripped of any foothold in this world, even his presence has grown faint.
Years passed. While Choi Sijin rose to fame as a glittering celebrity, Seo Mu-yeong lived like a dead man, unnoticed and forgotten by the world. Driven by a thirst for revenge, he begins tailing Sijin, determined to unearth a fatal weakness.
Yet despite a spotless record of never once being caught, he is discovered before long by Choi Sijin’s older brother, Choi Yook.
“Why would the great Mr. Seo Mu-yeong be clinging to our Sijin?” Choi Yook asked with a vicious sneer. “Did someone tell you to steal his cum or something?”
“…”
Choi Yook leaned in, his gaze turning icy. “No answer, I see. What do you think—would taking another hit jog your memory? I’d like to deal with you and clock out for the day, Mr. Seo Mu-yeong.”
In exchange for sparing his life, Choi Yook orders him to track down a ‘long-term missing child.’
“He lived in Mangcheon-si, Gyeonggi Province until fourteen years ago,” Choi Yook said coldly.
“…”
Choi Yook continued, “He would be twenty-five now.”
In truth, the missing child Choi Yook is searching for is Seo Mu-yeong himself. Concealing his identity, he pretends to search for the boy, drawing close to Yook in order to dig up leverage to blackmail Sijin.
Yet why is Choi Yook so obsessed with finding him?
And why is Choi Yook the only person in the world who can actually see him?
